I had this sutuation also .....had the leaf springs re-arched this worked great may help you if your mechanical and can remove them...

8-3/4 not that common only came with 340's or larger motors......you will pay approx $450 for one that needs complete rebuild just went thru this have fun....rear smoker lol

have you looked at the adjusting screw if it has more adjustment left??? check it out may help for awhile
