I figured it was a trans issue. From what I understand is that the PCMs from 05 - 08 can programmed for manual trans which is an easy fix. I believe that most try to find an 05 PCM from a truck cause there was an option for that year for manual trans with the 5.7.

Why 04 and 05? I think I might know why those years are suggested.
