I've searched through here and seen a lot of cool swaps. Been thinking about this swap for a while for my 71 Dart. I picked a used wire harness and now I'm looking in to getting a PCM and know that they can be reprogrammed to work. MSD sells one but I'm looking to go as cheap as possible. I know PCM's can be picked up fairly cheap but what years are best? I was thinking from 05 - 08? I have a 5.7 in the works now.
 
I have an 04 computer for my 05hemi..also i think u have to make sure it doesnt have a security..
 
Some 04's still had a separate computer for the trans, the 05's didn't have security (most of them) and the 05 computer is what most people use for its ease of programming.
 
I figured it was a trans issue. From what I understand is that the PCMs from 05 - 08 can programmed for manual trans which is an easy fix.

I believe that most try to find an 05 PCM from a truck cause there was an option for that year for manual trans with the 5.7.
