    muffler selection

Sound is so subjective. I think it's best to go to a few cruises, and listen to the cars there and talk with the owners. I've found the sound clips online pretty useless, but it may be a good starting point to rule out ones you don't like. I wouldn't use a sound clip to select the one I wanted...

    Dual Exhaust System Recommendations ?

Do NOT get Pypes! The price is tempting (for T304), but they just don't fit. The tailpipes don't match, and the rest of it is badly made universal. If you look at the Dart on their site, even THEY can't get it to fit without tweaking. I wish I was smart enough to have looked before I bought. Ugh!!!

    Exhaust Leak - 318 Manifold

I'm not running any gaskets on my downpipes, and they don't leak. The way it's designed, I think trying to add something there may invite leaks, but I don't know. Put the other gaskets in place, and see how that works.

    The last F&%ing manifold bolt!

X3! If you don't want to risk maring the manifold, use a 5/16" Drill bit to behead it that way. You need a right angle drill. But then again, that's like a must have tool for Mopar, with their soft as cheese fasteners.

    Sidepipes or not?

They don't look right on anything post '54. If I saw an A-Body with them, I'd assume the owner wasn't a Mopar enthusiast, but someone trying to jumble together a hot rod from too new a car.

    Which X Pipe?

Pypes can't even get their own X-pipe to fit without massive tweaking (look at undercar pics of blue dart on their site). But it's cheap, and stainless. I'm running the complete street pro system.

Went to get estimates on exhaust

There are precious few things in my life that I wish I could go back in time and rectify. Using Pypes over a quality system is one of them. Now that it's on, I like it. But I think I have been emotionally scarred for life. If I was petty and vindictive, I would sue Pypes for pain and suffering...

Went to get estimates on exhaust

Yes, it's quite shocking, isn't it! The only guy in town who would do it quoted me $700, and he said at that price he would do it in his spare time (he originally wanted $800). Welding is not necessary, but I chose to weld mine. I got blinded by T304 glitter, and went with the Pypes system. As...

    Pypes exhaust

The only way I'm going to comment on MY pypes install would be to use a lot of swearing and name calling. In a way I'm glad it's not just me. Oh, and the tailpipes don't match left to right. If you look at the pics of the 69 Dart on the pypes site, you will note that even THEY (with a lift)...

    Heartthrob Exhaust= Great Customer Service

Great deal. Everything I have heard about those systems makes me feel really regretful I bought Pypes. I guess all that glistens (as in T304) is not gold.

Installing the Summit 2.5in A body exhaust

When I was shopping Jegs, they sold the 2.5" without mufflers (for only $20.00 less). I thought Summit did also, but I could be wrong. This was two weeks ago. The Pypes system is also sold without, and they offer three choices of mufflers in addition. It's what I went with, and is real pretty...
