    Harold's F'ing me over - big time.

I know the need is there, I was talking about the pricing. I will be making a set for the missile, but if the product is to be made available to all of you, it has to make enough money to support the business. Andrew

    Harold's F'ing me over - big time.

OK, first of all how much was Laysons asking for headers, I called them and they actually called back and they said they did not know anything about them!??? I may be a position in a few months to start a business and was actually thinking about the header situation. I was thinking about a set...

Has anyone tried this Dougs header labeled 2WD truck? It is listed for use with 318-360. part # D4462. It looks like a happy medium between the tight truck headers and full length headers. Andrew

    Help w/Afterburners

Mope, According to the engineers I have contacted the goal will be to have .25"-.5" of vacuum at the exhaust port. The system is adjustable in a number of places. Skybolt- READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY-- These engineers build and design motors for NASCAR, Sprint and Formula one vehicles, EVERY ONE...

    Help w/Afterburners

First, GTX thanks, I was not trying to hijack the thread. Cave man, The object is not to propel the car with the system but to negate the exhaust systems faults and limitations. Mope, The system is based on a technology called 'Air Amplification" It utilizes compressed air and the 'Coanda"...

    Help w/Afterburners

375, good video. As he said the after burner adds thrust by injecting extra fuel into the final compressor stage causing an increase in RPMs=more thrust. Now in regards to an internal combustion engine, what do you think the effect would be of putting the exhaust system into negative pressure...

    Calling All Mechanical Geniuses

375, All that I researched confirms all that you have said. Illiminating the back pressure in the system will greatly increase velocity.Yeah it will get louder as well even with a muffler, but the benifits to effeciency and power would be worth the effort. IMHO. Andrew

    Calling All Mechanical Geniuses

Flyboy, the more i research this the less there is to back the keeping of any back pressure in the system. Please explain the physics of why you state dont get rid of it all. Then we can discuss how. Andrew

    Calling All Mechanical Geniuses

Even with just headers and tailpipes you have a phenomina called 'reversion' where a high pressure pulse is present in the headers when the exaust valve opens contaminating the incomming charge. The tuned aspect of headers minimizes the effect by scavenging but does not iliminate it. 18"...
