Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

Idaho, I could not get the tire on, the offset wasn't large enough for a stock length A body axle. The fender lip is trimmed down to .5" and the entire inner fender was removed. Pics below

What are you runnin on your Dart/Duster?

74, yes, but the $600-$800 per rim and more for the rubber will have to wait until I win the lottery. What I should have done was cut the axle shorter than a standard A body length. It sucks when your math is wrong. But they look cool at this point. Andrew

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

Even though I measured many times it was too close to run the tires. They actually rubbed the inner fender quite badly to the point I had to cut the entire inner fender out and rebuild it now I have 3/4" of room. Andrew

Anybody running 17" Cobra Bullit rims on a Duster

    Wanting a 18x9f 18x10r wheel setup am I crazy?

thanks for the info, I currently have 315s on 17x10.5 in the rear, so effectively I would end up with a narrower tire to the pavement than I have now. Andrew

    Wanting a 18x9f 18x10r wheel setup am I crazy?

72, was there any problem with mounting the 335s on the 10" rims? I have been entertaining doing the same thing but thought the fit might be a problem. Andrew

Will a 275 tire fit in the front of a duster?

OK, so it looks like If I go to the 18s in the rear I will have to sell the 17s and get another set for the front. we'll cross that bridge when I come to it. Thanks RJ and its good to hear from you. Dion, what size rims and backspacing are you running in the front? Andrew

Will a 275 tire fit in the front of a duster?

Will a 275 tire fit in the front of a duster?

The reason I asked is that have the rims that the 315s are currently on and if I go to the 18s to run 335s in back, I wanted to put the 17s on the front with thinner tires. I was told by my tire guy that the thinnest I could go is 275s. By the way if I actually have to cut sheet metal on this...

Biggest Tire In Stock Wheel Well?

When moving the axle back you also need to pay attention to how you are going to connect your shocks to the car. The original locations will not work. with all the work im doing to the missile I would have shifted the axle back but it really screws the shock issue. Andrew

    OMG...another duster rear tire size..

Grassy, I minitubbed and am going to a four link system tucked into the frame rail. I now have the room for 335/30/18s but the rim/ tire combo thing is hanging me up.The minitub thread is on body/interior and the 4link thread is on suspension. Andrew
