Anybody receive seat covers from Legendary or Classic Industries lately?

I ordered a high-bucket cover set from Legendary a couple years back. LONG wait. I didn't notice until they were installed that the welt in the backside of the upper cover was crooked. No, not installed crooked, but sewn in crooked. Very disappointing for the kilo+ bucks paid (with...

    Good to know....

I did not pay a dime until I picked up both seats. I do agree that the response to the walk-ins was less than satisfactory. This response a bit down the calenderical road. I just picked up the seats a few days ago. Not the upholsterers issue. Mine. I asked about the back of the top looking...

When I dropped the seat off, I told him to use what he saw fit as he saw fit. When I picked it up, he said he used some of the new, not all, added some of his own. I didn't follow the specifics real well about exactly what went where but the back of the upper is clearly different from what I...

    Good to know....

Not following the subject of the thread too well, but some pics of the first seat done (RH). No attempt to frame the shots very well...such as the seat not sitting level/straight and such, so it's not as crooked as it looks...but it isn't straight, either. The top 'fer instance: The welt in...

You are correct. It does come down to opinion, though, and that is my point in this post. A decades-long worker in the field said the new foam isn't worth much. Does he have an axe to grind? Possibly. I will, though, wait for a person to prove themselves to be off-center in the opinion...

    Good to know....

There is a LOT more to a seat foam than having it flatten out over time or leaving a cheek impression in it. I've ridden motorcycles for a long time; dirt, street, 'adventure' ... and a good seat can be the difference between a PITA in 20 minutes or riding 4-500 miles a day (or maybe 50 in the...

    Good to know....

I ordered it, it was sent to my address, I had it all out of the box(es) to at least get an idea that I got the right parts. I wouldn't say I 'inspected' it, but looked it over a good bit. I didn't want to haul it to be done to find out the foam fits a seat with a headrest....or something...

    Good to know....

...and it only cost me $400 to find out. I ordered front seat covers and foam. After a good bit of poking around the forum, I chose Legendary. Some nine months after ordering, the parts showed up. I took the seats/covers/foam to a local shop that's been around for a good 30 years. There are...

    ABS headliners

Helpful to know the windshield doesn't have to come out. Thank you for the information! Experience is an excellent teacher, especially when it's someone else that's done the work!

Re: '73 2-door Duster I've read a handful of threads about the subject, have not found an answer to this: Does the front glass have to come out to replace the liner? Years past, I simply assumed that was the case. I mentioned that to an interior trim kind'a guy awhile back, he said the liner...

    Steering column design

Nope. I have no such parts. I did some quick looking on the web for inside steering column parts, didn't find any. This bracket looks at least very much like the bracket in my car. Unfortunately, no hardware (those spacers) that goes WITH it. OER Steering Column Dash Brackets 14928 Several...

Any one know what these emblems came off of?

I answered this question with an ebay link that showed the part for sale. Not sure what happened to the post. One tab showed it, this tab refreshed, does not. There is a picture of the same emblem, advertised as being for a Polara..'63 I think. Said to be from the deck lid.

    Steering column design

Nothing 'floor plate' wise was loosened...if that matters to the question at hand. Are you saying that loosening the floor plate bolts will allow the steering column to be pivoted at the dash bracket, effectively moving the steering column down?

Any one know what these emblems came off of?

I've seen 'em. Think they were on a Dodge. :welcome: You probably already did this, but as a btw, a google search using an upload of the image didn't tell anything. I recall it being on early '60s car...a Polara maybe. Went looking, found this: 1963 DODGE 330/440/500/POLARA/MAX WEDGE TRUNK...

    Steering column design

This in regard to a '73 Plymouth Duster. I loosened the steering column to get better access to the dash panel while replacing a speedo cable. On re-assy, I have some rub/interference between the column, specifically the lock ring, and the U-shaped cover that fits around the bottom of the...
