    Console shifter conversion

That looks about right. I'm in the middle of doing the same conversion on my Duster.

I have heard rumor that this is caused by gases being released from the vinyl.

    Rallye dash frame id?

The opening in the dash to the right of the column opening should be for a reverse light, indicating it came from a 4 speed car.

Will a 1972 Duster rear seat fit a 1974 Duster

One thing to watch for on the rear seat is whether or not it has retractable seat belts in the back. I ran into this on my '74 when I tried to swap a '70 Duster seat in it, and it didn't work. The '70 is straight across from tub to tub in the rear where the newer seats with retractable seat...

    Headliner help

One more thing you need to look at before you get too carried away is whether the points are there at the front and rear glass openings to hook the headliner onto. I looked into this very heavily for my '74 and decided against it since there are no points to hold the headliner. There is a...

anybody mini-tub a fold down seat duster ???

Now I don't know anything about them since I've never had one but how similar is the fold down seat in a Duster to that of an early Cuda? I think there's a couple threads somewhere about doing this to a Cuda and still keeping the seat functional. Keep us updated if you get it done. Very...

Free Car audio what should i get?

Boss is a brand, just like all the others. It is NOT Bose. It's the kind of stuff that Wal-mart and the chain parts stores sell. I would definitely stay away from it. If it were me, and I had the choices listed, I would stick with all Pioneer. The Clarion and Kenwood speakers aren't bad but...

Ran across a nice aftermarket console bucket combo.

If you click on the product bubble at the top of the page it shows all the different styles and options with their prices. I personally like it. It's a single console that can be indefinitely customized to the users taste and for someone who doesn't have the skill set to build something...

Can anyone recommend 3 point seat belt config for a 68 Barracuda?

Haven't heard anything about them but you might look into these. http://www.xvmotorsports.com/products/category/index.cfm?cid=149&lvl=2

How to RECOVER Mopar Bucket Seats in YOUR Driveway

Nice thread. Looks like someone's been to the local farm supply store for the pliers and rings. Depending on what you may need they do make different sizes of rings. Shoat rings are the smallest, then the Pig rings, and if you need bigger ones they have Hog rings as well.

Are rear bench seats the same '70 and '74?

Yeah, they could probably do that. You'd never see it once the seat was installed.

Are rear bench seats the same '70 and '74?

No they are not. The '74 rear seat bottom is notched in the rear corners for the retractable seat belts where the '70 rear seat bottom is full width. The seat back should be the same.

Seat foam & cover interchangability on 73 Dart Sport seats

I would think that the bottoms would be the same but the backs may be different. I don't know if they actually changed the frames when they switched from hard back to soft back or if they just changed the covers. Might help if you took the covers and foam off and saw what you have to work...

    Roadrunner Buckets?

Should be able to use the A body seat rails and be done. As far as I know all of the high back bucket seat frames are the same whether they came from an A/B/E body. They just changed the foam, covers, and tracks according to what they were going in.

Has anyone seen these and know how they attach.

To the OP-I looked at my '70 Dart tonight and on my car it looks like they are a welded in part of the inner structure.

How are you clamping it with the glass still in the car?

'74 Duster bow style headliner conversion

I'm curious to hear from anyone who has actually done this conversion. I've got a '74 Duster that needs a new headliner and I'd like to put the bow style in it. I have seen that Classic Industries sells the conversion kit for the A-bodies so I gave them a call. I was mainly curious as to how...

Has anyone seen these and know how they attach.

I'm running into the same issues on my '74 Duster. I plan on putting a bow style headliner in it, but don't know how well it will work. I talked to Classic Industries today as they sell a conversion kit for the 73 and newer cars that came with the cardboard headliners. I asked them how the...
