    well you can always mill the heads down and lower the CCs on the chambers. i have a set of 906 heads that are cut down to 75 cc and cut for bigger valves. the valve seats just have to be replaced to enlarge the valves it not that big of a deal. check Indy they have a set of valves $150 for both...

    nope they just didnt come close to the springs, they were off left to right. the ratio will efect how they ride and whetre they will hit center these were just all messed up. The 1.6 were just made better than the 1.7s. the 1.7s are new from what he said and they were jsut a POS.

    buddy of mine just put them on his 440. He tryed the 1.7's POS they wouldnt line up on the springs and were just a POS. He sent them back and they sent him the 1.6 set teht was a little better they still need to be shimmed for tehm to ride straight on the sring but better than the first set.

    thanks for the advice and you may have a point. I will go ahead and run the Bigs set up and later I will probly upgrade the heads to and indy set up and change out the cam.This is a cheap prelimanary build. The price on the carb is right and the right heads it will work.

    come on craig your late. I just need to pull the 340 and transplant it into the dart. Once I get the fly wheel off the rotating assembly will be ballanced and then I am ready to assemble. Should be together by the end of august and ready to go in the duster.

    yep Just put a built 340 in the duster, then bought a cherry 68 dart 318 car going to tkae the 340 out of the duster and put it in the dart. Got a 383 motor for free going to build it for the duster so it will be a 383 and a 4 speed :D

    you can get the push rods from Comp they make a ball and cup set up. Check the tech archive there is an article in there for preload on HI lifters I runn solid so :?: , you will also need an adjustable push rod gauge to get the size it looks like a rod but is threaded so that you can adjust it...

    go to Mancini paper they have them or I was told that you can buy a piolot bearing for a late model dodge 4 speed thatit was the same thing I am not for sure. I thre away the box so I dont have the part number but its in the Mancin paper for sure.
