Hope this is not true. Moog Offset Upper control arm bushings.

Depends on how you are holding the A arm... :) The arrows should point relatively side to side when installed on the car. Either towards center of car or to outside of car. Forward bushings arrow points OUT (towards ball joint), rear bushing towards centerline of car. The instructions...

Rear tire fitment with 3 inch relocate kit on 70 Dart

If the spring is out of the way, you have about 12" of wheelhouse available without a minitub.

    8.75

Unless you can live with a rear at 51.25 housing width and have wheels with a bit deeper dish, that's an option. Cut the long tube to equi-length and move the perches roughly 5/8" to pass side to center it again. What a mess. If he doesn't fix, I'd put his stupid *** on blast. Then follow it...

Bolt on frame connectors 111” wheelbase

@MidnightSwinger Watch out for his van... The one with "Free Candy" painted on the sides... :) Nice offer and definitely take him up on it. One issue with the bolt ins, after time, the holes wallow and they become less effective. Welding them in is really the best approach.

    ProForged LCA bushing install question

Put a socket that fits snug inside the bushing when you press the pin in. You need to support the sleeve or you will destroy the bushing.

    Headers Dougs vs direction manuel.

Math Symbols . . . Those Most Valuable and Important: Multiplication Asterisk So 2 * 10 is 210? Also, he mentions 5/8. Why would someone willy nilly just add 2" to that value? I sure didn't and the equation is correct. I also explained the measurement difference for the folks that like...

    Headers Dougs vs direction manuel.

    It's the math... 2 * 5/8" = 10/8 or 1 1/4" take 20" between rails and a 5/8" offset. One measurement is 9 3/8", the other is 10 5/8"... 1 1/4" difference in the tape.

    Headers Dougs vs direction manuel.

These cars were built with some really rough tolerances. What fits perfectly on one car may hit everything in sight on another. Just the way it is with these things and headers are the worst when it comes to A bodies! TTI has engine location measurements. Check them against yours and make...

Subframe connectors and stiffeningkit dxf_files ????

It's a PIA to tie connectors to the floor contours. I don't do it. I like the 2x2 because it doesn't intrude or push hard against the floor pan. The way BBD has it, they are jacked up against the pan in some spots using 2x3 and running them up tight. Agreed, much easier ways to get the...

Subframe connectors and stiffeningkit dxf_files ????

It uses the floor horizontal as a sheer plane. It's a decent way to involve a much large structure. It's a bunch of work and a PIA to do it. I tend use 2x2 or 2x3 tube that is .080-.120 thick. Worked well for years and if you are putting in a bar/cage, tie a bar into the connector or make...

Different driveline angle on balancer to output shaft?

I'd use the tailshaft reading because that is where the driveshaft is inserted. If the driveshaft was attached to the balancer, use that reading. Using a flat side of the yoke might be even better.

    Moving rear axle back

I take flat stock, make a plate that looks like an "E" and slide them between, frame and hanger. Cut them with a 4.5" grinder The pic of the one for sale is much nice piece than mine. :)

    Leaf spring advice

What's with the ugly *** hood prop rod? :) I prefer them lower in the rear end. LOL Weight transfers better too. If you got under 200# you wouldn't need it so high in the back! Car looks good, just needs full throttle. :poke:

Rear shock length and options for Caltracs

I bet you are going to bend the shock body. I'd relieve the plate where it's close to the body. The mount point will twist under, towards the axle centerline, moving the lower shock mount forward and into the mount plate. Saw you moved them over. Even moved over, I'd relieve the area for...

    Load Leveling Coil Over Shocks

Coil over shocks will kill the stock upper mount over time. A band-aid the will damage the car is not a good approach. IMO, springs hold the car up and that is what should be replaced.

    Upper Control Arm disaster

Any original control arm from a 65-72 A body car should work. I may have a pair of used ones if you are looking for a pair. I threw a lot of stuff away when I moved 2 years ago.

    Bolt in frame connectors

Tim, The MP ones, if the least expensive, work well and get the job done. Some of the stuff on the market is STUPID expensive for what it does. If you want to fab up something that provides stress relief from the other crap in the world, that's valuable too. My old "pick your parts, pay your...

    Torque Boxes vs. Frame Connectors

Those MF connectors are ridiculously expensive. 350 for something that can be done with under $50 in tubing. If I had the choice between torque boxes or frame connectors, frame connectors every time.

    8.75 Not centered?!?!

Not a surprise that the axle isn't centered up perfect in the car. These cars were built with sloppy tolerances all around. Now it's time to massage stuff to get it spot on. Verify the perch locations.

    Boxing in LCAs

Normal driver, I wouldn't spend the time to do this. The more "solid" the lower control arm is, the more energy gets transferred into other parts when it takes a hit in an accident. There is likely some structural design failure limits in that part so energy gets dissipated. When you box...

    Slapper Bars

Snubbers are best used to keep the garage door open. Total crutch for a crappy set of springs. Mopars with factory or SS style springs should not squat. Traction bars work on mopars, just like SS springs or cal tracks. Set up improperly, none of them work well.

    Mini tub/ rear axle

Depending on ride height, It's a lot easy to get a wheel with less backspace onto the car when using a wide tire. Especially if the car is low in the rear, sitting over the tire.
