    More Seat Belt Baloney

Go up the ladder if you have to with the rule book in hand. The other fun one is having a full cage in the car, doesn't run the et that requires a window net, and getting hassled for no net in a cage car. IIRC, you can get a letter from NHRA clearing up any of the rules for those pesky...

Correct Axle Housing Length to Fill Wheel Well of '74 Scamp with Widest Slicks Possible Without Cutting Structure

Anyone local to me capable of correcting errors on a 904 race build

The pump converter drive snafu is not paying attention and watching what is going out the door. No excuse for that lack of quality control. That's a mess. Carry on.

Details - Flipping Pistons earns 5,000 dollars - LITERALLY ??

Why did the race go the way it did. Truck ran like absolute trash out of the hole. End of story. My mom in a walker would 60' better than that thing. A slow trash can beat a ill prepared/tuned truck. Call me unimpressed by the whole activity.

Anyone local to me capable of correcting errors on a 904 race build

I guarantee if I had a customer drop 4500 in my lap, I doubt they would ever be pissed enough to go on a forum to complain about any slight in service. I don't even consider doing that with the $150 kits I sell. CRT is on notice that he has an unhappy customer... take the ball and run with...

Anyone local to me capable of correcting errors on a 904 race build

No motivation as he doesn't build anymore. No loss as he will sell parts only from the stuff that's been out there. Wonder how all those folks with "free refresh" deals outstanding, IIRC he was selling that with his transmissions, feel about the change in business. I usually bend over...

    Building your own headers.

Indeed, when J bends are $50-75 each in stainless 304, adds up quickly.

Small block , low mount Alternator , Meziere H2O pump

Mine brain... I fabbed all of it with basic tools in the garage

    Building your own headers.

I hope you have a lift and can take the entire front clip off. Those two things make it easier. Stainless headers has a nice series on building headers. Enjoy making the tubes the shape of the port on an LA, fun stuff.

Anyone running a Low Pressure Oil Pressure Switch, if so how do you have it enabled?

I use an adjustable pressure switch and run mine through the MSD trigger wire. Low pressure, kills ignition. You could also run a set of relays in series to kill ignition and fuel pump, etc. I don't use the stock one at all unless running factory gauges.

    1968 Valiant Help

The cage won't pass any cert at all. The door bar appears too low for even 11.49 or faster.

440source Stealth head review and flow numbers

440 source should update the site as it still has reference to the Michigan shop.

440source Stealth head review and flow numbers

Whoever is doing the new work isn't effective. Surprised that 440source didn't keep a old vendor head around as a reference piece.

    Low gear set 904, pro’s and Con’s

Cons, none that I've seen. If you can do it yourself, go for it. Simple enough to swap out the set ups.

    340 A body versus 383 B body

8.1 0-60 for the 340S? Someone had no idea how to drive. Stock 440 and Hemi cars will mudhole a 383, simple as that. The hemi vs 440 test was almost exactly like my stuff ran comparatively. 440 would get out early, then the Hemi would start spanking it around 500 feet out.

    Another converter thread

I have a shelf 904 hughes 3500 converter that is flat out awesome. Had a car go 1.43's with a SB and 4.56's. Getting it right is a big deal. Single most important driveline item in a car IMO. Guys spend 10K on an engine, then back it up with a $200 converter and can't figure out why the car...

Is there such a thing as a 5000 stall converter that is streetable ?

Come on Rusty... I figured you'd bust out the old favorite. It's not the 70-80's anymore where driving with a high stall converter was comparable to stepping on a marshmellow. God the dynamics of those things when street driving were horrible back then. Come a long way, tight on cruise...

Is there such a thing as a 5000 stall converter that is streetable ?

It's not the 80's anymore. Seen plenty of cars with 4K+ converters that were tighter on cruise than a 2500-2800 unit.

    Cam And Lifter Hardness Testing

Lifter may get locked in position and then a quick death. RPM helps get the lifters spinning. On the starter, that RPM level isn't high enough and if a groove starts, you're dead.

Rear End Set-up on 72 Dart

I used to hate the different rear height. Used to put both pass side or both driver side on cars.

Rear End Set-up on 72 Dart

This is the way I remember which numbers go on which side. The drivers of mopars are always odd... Odd number goes on driver side on US based cars. If the springs are good and you use clamps on front segment, snubber can be a door stop. Pinion angle is going to be a guess. Make sure when...
