The gills were an option for '68 only. Very hard to find in any condition.

Looks like someone used a latch from another car other than a Barracuda.

Give the windshield a thorough cleaning with detergent and rinse it thoroughly. My bet is that the glass has a coating of car wash soap on it. Please let us know what the outcome is.

The rocker trim with the "gills" in front of the rear wheels was a '68 option only. I have them on my '68 notch.

What about using the ralley mirrors? They may be deep enough to accept the motors etc.

I've seen a few notch vinyl roofs here in Canada. One '69 had the mod top. Didn't know that there were none in the US.

This happened on my '68 Barracuda. I used silicone and taped the chrome to hold it in place until the silicone cured. That was years ago. No problems since.

I'm looking for any help with where I could get the tape treatment or color of red paint that goes between the two trunk lid trim panels on a '68 Barracuda. Right now mine is the body color. I've seen Barracudas with red in this area and would like to make it as close to factory as possible. Thanks

If you have the theft proof screws you can use vice grips on the screws on the inside of the trunk. When the heads are sticking out a little you can use the vice grips on the heads from the outside. You can get the theft proof screws on ebag.

I believe this windshield also interchanges with the 67-69 Barracuda. Not sure if the vert is included.

I've always liked the look of those stripes. I was next to a Dart at a car show and I couldn't keep my eyes off those stripes. It's a great design from the boys at Mopar. DO IT!

That 'chrome' is actually anodized aluminum. I don't think you can bring it back.

Do you mean wires or cables. These cables have thin wires in them and when broken they are pretty much finished. A pic would help.

If you are going to keep the car imo remove the vinyl and address the rust. Replacing the vinyl is up to you. Just my .02

The clip holds the cable away from the glass. It should have a couple of "teeth" on one end. You may be able to see a couple of short scratches somewhere on the inner metal door panel. Failing that just place the cable in the clip and clip it to hold the cable out of the way of the window. Hope...
