Looks like we have ANOTHER new product

I have been on this site quite a while and have seen and heard good and bad suggestions/products. That being said- it is ALWAYS a good idea to post everything needed to switch from factory to ANY new product. The pros don't always outweigh the cons. The old saying"if you build a better mousetrap...

jeep cherokee rear in A body

Best thing you can do is to be truthful on how you want your car to perform.Everyone comes up with a"cheap"rear for these cars and some can even tell you how easy they are to install. If you use a jeep rear bolt a set of wheels on it and turn them.Quite a few of these bend an axle.remember these...

jeep cherokee rear in A body

You will find that your 60.00 rear is worth 60.00 some people have good luck with 8.8-8.25-8 3/4 9" 9.25 but you will find that these will live behind a /6-318 but when you put torque in front of them you will find why some are more expensive than others

No this is great!!!This guy just wants to save some money too!He could build some valve covers that read mopar performance and fit a chevy-a little bit of enginuity but it would work, maybe a six pack breather, who would know???All about saving money-yes?

    B body 8 3/4

Couldn't agree with you more.My 67 Dart has small shoulder studs and it has almost 60000 miles on them-340, 68 383 cuda with capscrews 21000.71 340 Demon 14000,I guess I don't know how to build an engine with enough torque to rip them out.
  17. d5667

    B body 8 3/4

You should fire your machinist.Three of my own are running drilled axles,I have friends in different states that use them.Axle hubs??????? 8 3/4 axle is a one piece item.If you have enough torque to twist an axle apart you need a DANA!!!
  18. d5667

    B body 8 3/4

Anything can be accomplised given enough time and money.Pro's and cons to everything, there was a reason why the engineers built ABCE and truck rears.I pulled a B body rear out of an A body that someone decided to change, probably because they didn't want to pay for A body rear.It costs me 75.00...

Strut rod washers.... correct way to use.

Hey guy's the Chrysler manual shows the washers and strut bushings directly oposite of the first picture.I am checking Chilton and Haynes to see if they show the way that you got them.Nope both books show that you have the strut bushings and washers backwards.
