What Kind of Motor Mount is This?

They were used in Dodge trucks for sure. They fit, but are usually too tall for the use of a fan shroud.

    pitman arm won't come off

Like many others said, I'd suggest a good quality puller, and a little tighten, and a smack, a little more tighten, and a smack... Etc.

Just picked up a set of Hotchkis rear springs... cheap.

Yeah, for the people using these springs, what is the ride height in comparison to stock? Anyone know?

best place to buy leaf springs?

I got some springs from Espo a few years back. They were very nice. They don't seem to list them on their site anymore, but I think if you call, they'll hook you up.

    Dusters' turn radius SUCKS

I put 73+ brakes and balljoints on a 67 car with a 67 swaybar, and had to grind the swaybar mounts some to get the turning radius to something worthwhile.

    Dusters' turn radius SUCKS

Garner may have attempted to lay claim to the maneuver, but it existed long before he did it on screen. The Rockford Files was on the air 5 years before The Dukes of Hazzard, and the two shows overlapped by two years. Generally, the "J-Turn" is credited to moonshine runners, as is the...

What is the best, strongest 8 3/4 housing?

Yes, you can swap between center sections with no problem. One thing to be aware of is that the power lock sure grip units had some spacer buttons that may or may not need to be retained. It depends on which carrier and which bearings you use.

    A-Body 8 3/4 open gear 741 case

A lot of people will pay more for a complete unit. There are brake parts that are non-wear items and unavailable new. If those pieces are missing, it can be a PITA to find everything needed to put together a complete, working set of brakes. It's sometimes cheaper to go to disc or big bolt...

    A-Body 8 3/4 open gear 741 case

I had a friend with a 340 4-speed Duster that used to destroy teeth on them, but not actually break the pinion.

    A-Body 8 3/4 open gear 741 case

You never know for certain, but I'd be willing to bet that you can but it for $450, and there will be guys on this site lining up to buy it. The last one I had, I sold for $600, and the guy drove 200 miles to come get it from me.

What is the best, strongest 8 3/4 housing?

It's not the case that is strong or weak. It's the pinion that must be used. You cannot swap the ring and pinion for a 741 case into a 489 or 742 case. The 741 will probably be fine behind an automatic.

    U-Bolt Opinions

I don't see a length. I personally would rather use the correct bolts with the flattened inner diameter. They don't pinch and crush the tube as easily. But they probably will work.

Cant get a idler arm for my car????

It fits other applications through 73, too. I doubt it's right, and I wouldn't order it in to look at it, but if he's held the K7086 and it's not what he needs, I'm thinking outside the box. The car is almost 40 years old. Who knows what someone has done to it. I know that many of my old...

Cant get a idler arm for my car????

He's asking if it could be a 67 because that is a one year only idler arm that attaches to a 67 k member differently than a 68+. This what a 68-72 arm should look like. A 67 is similar, but with sockets on both ends, like the second picture. Is yours more like the third picture?

    bearings blow outs?

If you can't get the little circle piece off by grabbing it with some big channel locks and wiggling it around until it comes loose, it's probably fused onto the spindle. I had this happen 20+ years ago when I had a bent spindle. How did you adjust the bearings when you put this back together?
