Tim, I had a forum member that was gonna send me his 69 cap but then I guess he decided not to because I never got it. If somebody wants to send me one I will reverse engineer it and send it back to them and then I will have them for the later models. Dan, where do I send that check again ...

It has tabs ( about 1/2" long ) that go thru the carpet and then are folded over . You have to raise the carpet to get at them .

There is a pin at the base of the pedal, remove the cotter pin and turn it out (it has threads ) , remove pedal ,and then you have access to the two bolts that hold the mount in place .

Shoot, I think maybe just remove the tube , then cut it to just about 3 inches above the tank and reweld the end on it so you can use the cap to seal it . That would be a straight shot but you would have to open the trunk to fill .

The o-ring I use will not work with the stock cap, sorry . Steve
