The original spare was a E-70-14. I have the original wheel and tire. Yes, it raised the spare tire board. The spare was turned over with the white letters facing down. The placement of the jackparts is correct. I'll take a pic of mine tomorrow

No clearance issues. Car sits level with a very subtle rake. My only complaint is the car sits low. I have bad knees so getting out is a little bit of a challenge. I'm looking at putting Redlines on the car and upgrading to a 235 so that should help. Is your car in the registry? Looks good.

I have 215s all the way around on mine. 15x7 in the rear and 15x6 in the front. 235s will fit with the correct offset.

Yes 15x7, tires were 225/60. The wheels were old school US Mags, SBP. I later changed to a 15x7 steel wheel all around with Moon caps

Curious. I have a GTS and I'm running a 15x6 steel wheel on the front. I'm also running BFGs. My upper control arm is nowhere close to the wheel.

Accident waiting to happen. Those cast aluminum spacers are junk. They are prone to cracking or worse falling completely apart. If you are looking for TT style wheel in SBP try Coys wheels.

I went through Coys Wheels out of Orum, UT. Got a 15X8 4.5 bolt pattern with w 4.5 offset. I also got a set of 15X6, 5X4 BP for my 68 GTS. Whells are real nice. http://www.coyswheel.com/coys-c5-1415.html

I have a 61 Lancer wagon that I just picked up. I plan on going to 15" wheels and tires. I did some measuring and it looks like I can fit an 8" wheel with a 4.5" offset. Is anyone with an early A body wagon running oversize wheels and tires and if so what size tires.

You can get 15" steels with the 5X4 bolt pattern from Classic Industries. You can get a 15X8 withg a 4.5" offset. However, they don't show a 15X6 steel wheel. specialty Wheel out of Portland or. carries 15"/4.5" BS steel wheels as well.

Moe, The 14X6 in the front will be okay however you may have some problems with the 14X7s. If you look at my car you'll see that the rears are 14X7 however they have a 4 1/2" backspace. The tires are 245/60/14s. The 14x7 Cragers you have I belive have a 3" offset which will place any sizeable...

I just priced a set of 14X6 cragers with BFG P/215/60/14s for $1200 from Newstalgia Wheel. I think the early As look odd with a wheel larger that a 15 inch but thats me.
