To much build up pressure in coolant system!

Just my 2 cents but I just went through all of it. Lay it aside if you have to but come up with the money to have the head professionally reconditioned. You will be glad you did in the end. Next year you won't even miss the extra money you spent but you can cruise in confidence.

    water pump, tstat or radiator?

You could always take the thermostat out and put it in a pan of water. Put a thermometer in and begin to boil the water. At 160 or 190 it will open up. That is if it is working.

1972 dart factory a/c want to convert to 134a

Well...for me, my compressor went bad. So it had all of the r 12 gone. I bought a new compressor and the 134a oil in the freon and the rest was just freon. I used the guage that came with the one can. And it was still working when I sold it just a couple years ago.

1972 dart factory a/c want to convert to 134a

I can only speak for one I did. I just switched! I did put a can with compressor oil in it. I was told later that the new 134a reacts to some of the old seals. I never had a problem. Maybe I was just lucky. Oh also I made sure there was no old freon in the system. Take it all out.

    Heater core

Bleeding is not an issue with the old stuff like this new stuff we drive. Just pour some water in the heater hose to fill the heater core...put the hose on and leave the cap off and fill as needed. My Ram you have is a PIA to get the air lock out but the old things that we love are not as big...

    Question on ac parts.

I don't know but I need the complete set for a slant 6. If you don't get it would you let me have a chance at it? There is one on EBAY but it is for a V8 and now I am worried. He hasn't been able to sell it and it says no shipping so I wrote and asked and he will ship it to central PA but I...

Does anyone think it is the radiator besides me?

Hey this all sounds familiar. I had a thread on here last week about my Ram truck heating. Here is the thing...I had my radiator checked and tested. And I was there! A top establishment of over 60 years. 2nd generation. The test was good. So I replaced everything and I mean everything...
