Why stock springs are the same number. I been doing this trick with SS springs for 20 years nothing wrong with it. car sits nice and level and rides nice.

1.5 inches is a lot, that has to be visible of something wrong. A lot of people use same side super stock spring, they are perfect for street cars.

This is actually how I did my also. but its now I would do it again.

I like to leave the outer part of the frame and box the inside of the frame and plug weld it. Plus it looks like the frame was never cut. . This gives you the most spring room.

It will not lock up. The key controls that. The only thing with the collar it may mover and may not start (just move it back). If the car is a real 340 car I would leave it alone if not just cut the lower piece off. I have the same think on my 70 Duster. Do you have the linkage?

No hold up for me. I have to finish up my duster first. Hopefully less than a month and move onto the barracuda front suspension.

I did this to my 68 Barracuda. I cut both sides of the frame. If I was going to do this again I would leave the out side frame. I with I had a better pictures

67 to 69 barracuda is the same as a duster wheel well. inner and outer wheel wells are the same part number. they fit great on my duster and barracuda i only have a picture of my duster. 275 60 15 on 15 x 8 4 1/4 backing space. if you us larger bolt axles with 10 x 2 1/2 brakes you will need 4...

they will fit perfect. A body rear with large bolt axles with 10 x 2.5 brakes? if you have small bolt axles the tire will be real close to the springs, may have to run a 1/4 inch spacer.

just use it. it will be fine. 0r pull the shaft and drill out the plastic pins and install shear pins.
