SBP is an abbreviation for "small bolt pattern" on rims/wheels. Newer years (than yours) use LBP (large bolt pattern) or sometimes a previous owner will have made the change from SBP to LBP.
I enjoyed reading your book also, thanks for the update. I'm building a NASCAR/Trans Am sized Mopar 305 small block by the way. Had Cunningham custom connecting rods fabricated for the 2.96 stroke full-radiused Bryant billet crankshaft I ordered.
That performance hood should prevent any snide comments regarding the "green" color. I like the green on your vehicle for some reason (like I just said, might be the hood scoops).
Welcome!
My daily driver when I was building up my '65 Valiant bracket racer was a '63 Pontiac Grand Prix I purchased for $100.00
Circa 1974, I painted the Pontiac myself during my Body & Fender classes at community college. I wanted to add a clear coat with gold pearl, so I chose a solid...
I'm doing the same thing to a '65 Formula S. Maybe you can find some help in my resto fotos:

Did the 318 equipped Barracudas that year that you guys have come originally with the 727 Torqueflite or was the 904 Torqueflite original equipment? Thank you.
I'm sure that A/C has been there forever. The compressor is the same one my parents had on their new 1971 Road Runner. The air grabber equipped cars were not available with factory A/C so the dealer had an A/C shop add A/C before final delivery. Only problem is the car did not have the proper...
I don't believe a 1965 Plymouth has any "matching" numbers on the engine anywhere. That started in later years, didn't it? Any block of the same "vintage" circa '64-'65 would put the car back in its original "pseudo" matching numbers condition.
I have a '65 Barracuda Formula S with factory A/C...
My first car was a '65 Valiant, paid $125.00 for it around 1973, the 273 V8 was only running on 7 cylinders (had a burned exhaust valve). Fixed it up a little at the Community College auto shop as you can see. Actually, I recenlty purchased two more 65 Plymouths, a Valiant Signet convertible and...
Welcome, I have both A and B bodies so we have something in common. Sold my Valiant bracket racer in 1980 but here's a foto. Currently have 65 Formula S, 65 Valiant convertible, and 72 Satellite Sebring Plus.
The engine in my Valiant was a 273. Best E.T. was 12.72 at 108 mph. Sold it in 1980 to Renteria Bros. Last I heard, Kenny Moorhead owns it. It is painted black now, here's a video clip:

Manual steering is best: better road feel and no oil leaks-power steering always ends up making an oily mess. The lighter A Bodies don't need P/S anyway.
