got the vinyl wall covering, Styrofoam fitted. painted the supports with a left over can of "Hammer tone" black paint. I forgot I had. putting the can with the Dart, I can apply another coat on it. ( looks like a vinyl top, from a distance).

being a 11' bed makes it perfect length, 8' for the ramp. 3' for a sleeper: bought some 1" square tubing. had rolls of sheet metal, haven't used in years, recently acquired some 2 x 3 lumber ( ripped it down to 1 1/2" x 2"), 2 sheet of Styrofoam, don't know what I got those for. screws left over...

finally got the 3" exhaust finished> (Not me in the pic) band clamp at the head pipes, h-pipe, and before the mufflers so that can drop the exhaust if needed next install the seats and new carpet, dash pad then back to aligning the doors, hood and panels.... more sanding....lol

Got a charge out of it today> no burnt wires....lol good to hear it run again won't get paint this year, more sanding to do BUT, will hang the sheet metal to take it to the track before the season ends > only 3 weeks left.

while the paint is curing Next will be to bend a main hoop for the Roll cage and install

finally got some warm, dry days to proceed Have been sanding, and sanding,,,,, and sanding some more.... LOL I'm ready to shoot the engine bay

plans have changed again..... made a few passes at the track (last year) need to pull the 518 trans for a converter change sent it to Freak show performance (Texas) to move the stall to 3000 over the Winter decided to strip it all the way back down to put a nice paint job on it install a roll...

Welcome to FABO Yea, most people at the track expect "More Doors" to be old, and slow I always have a blast with the two I have a 70 Dart Custom with a stroker small block and a 68 Satellite with a Cummins...lol

I did the same > 6bt in a Satellite flipped some truck mounts to bolt to the engine mounts welded the rest to the frame, ( can still remove the k-frame, eng will stay in place) The two small pieces, may look slanted, but was needed to be for oil pan cleanance...

as this latest project comes to completion For me, way over budget but all other bills, always paid on time. sold some parts, and bartered others, to complete this have all new interior waiting just have to get the paint finished first It's the "Smiles to the Mile" when I press the pedal...
