    SS SPRINGS

Even with the 2800# springs it still sat higher than stock. I bought new front spring hangers that have 2 sets of holes in them so you can drop the car 1" and it still isn't down to stock ride height, but does sit about right for me. Edit. Mine are the MPP P4510268 & P4510269 XHD OEM-Style...

    SS SPRINGS

My dart is a '67. I put the 3200# springs on my car at first ( street car ). Rode like a buggy. I took those off and put the 2800 # springs on and the ride was much better. Edit. Mine are the MPP P4510268 & P4510269 XHD OEM-Style, A-Body, 2,800 lbs.

What tolerance is required for a spring relocation?

1/8" is the max it can be out of alignment. 1/16" would be better, but you will be fine with 1/8" if you chose to let it be. The reason I know this is I built a ladder bar setup for a duster and in the instructions it said to keep the alignment at 1/8" or less. In case you need to know, it was...

71 Twister with 340 4-spd, Bent front frame rails

That is how it is supposed to be installed. I thought the same thing when I bought my new bushing kit but it is stamped into the washer to turn it that way, cupped side outward.

hit hard bump now car sits too far down???

Anytime I had my front suspension apart I could bounce the car in the driveway and it would settle down where I thought it needed to be. But a trip down the street and back and I had to raise it back up. Your suspension has settled, so it is time to readjust your ride height.

installed SS springs and pinion angle is at 0

According to the Mopar Performance chassis book on page 252, the trans to driveshaft angle should always be 2.5 degrees or less (but not zero). On page 253 all the pictures showing how to adjust rear pinion angle show only the rear axle pinion and the driveshaft. No trans pictured or any...

    Duster center link clearance

My 67 Dart had the same problems with the steering link hitting the hooker headers. When I had the exhaust put on, I had the shop heat the tube where it was hitting and bend it in some. As far as the oil pan issue, it sounds like you need to try and get the correct mounts and that may solve that...

002-003 SS spring question and answer thread !!!!????!!!!????!!!!

I was thinking about just flipping the front spring mounts. I saw a picture of the dart - 71 Dartguy has and it sits exactly like I want mine to sit. He mentioned that he did the front spring mount flip.

002-003 SS spring question and answer thread !!!!????!!!!????!!!!

Just by the springs sitting side by side I can see the difference in the arch. I needed new springs for my and always wanted to run the SS springs. If for some reason I am not happy with them, at least I can always say, been there done that.

I just got a brand new set of 002-003 mopar performance super stock springs today. I am going to put them on my 67 Dart this weekend. While they are still off the car I thought I would start this thread to help answer any questions I can before I install them. Then I will be glad to answer...

    SS leaf springs de-arched

You could flip the front spring mounts, that would give you about an 1" drop and then use the lowering blocks and that should get you close to where you want to be.
