AIR GAP INTAKE WORTH THE MONEY?

They run because they have to. But there is nothing “stock” about them. Well…maybe the bolt patterns…lolol

    Big Inch Smallblock

Back to the OPs question… I have a 4.250 Bloomer crank in a 4.06 bore R3 block. (440”). The block was barely touched/clearanced for piece of mind, if nothing else.

    340 stroker 422

This is correct. Lower compression and less quench often still results in detonation.

    Highest flowing sbm heads?

Yep. Indy 360 heads go past 300 and will bolt up to your stock block.

    Moroso electric water pump drive?

Yep I’ve read that, but was just curious if anyone had did it anyway. I know of one on a street car, but it’s only driven on short trips around town. I want to put some miles on my heap. The full moroso electric pump makes the most sense, but I would need to create a provision for the heater hose.

    Moroso electric water pump drive?

Anyone run one of these on a street car?

440” small block, pump gas, street car...

Not yet, been busy with work/life stuff. I’ll be tinkering this weekend trying to get the water temp down and will post a clip or two.

440” small block, pump gas, street car...

I have a similar duration and a bit less lift cam that Bullet ground for me and my plan was to change that, get the compression up to 11:5 and go EFI but didn’t have the spare coin at the time. Now that it’s in the car and running I’ll do that stuff next year. To Dons point about the converter...

440” small block, pump gas, street car...

With my luck, probably! Thanks, it’s an amateur built low (relative) dollar garage car. Huge thank you to FABO member (and 25 year friend) ‘63GT and Ken DeSimas for their help in any way that I needed!

440” small block, pump gas, street car...

Yes, it needs a smaller cam, will do that someday along with EFI... No engine assembly pics unfortunately. My dyno will be some 1/8 mile timeslips this fall!

What is the "perfect" street/strip package......for the average Moparian

Thank you. Garage built with spare change...lol. I haven’t made the drive to the track yet; will do that in the fall air. Have a few things to tidy up, including getting the cruise temp down from 210 degrees. Yikes!!!

What is the "perfect" street/strip package......for the average Moparian

The car is a Frankenstein of a combo, I will admit...lol. The converter was on my shelf, bought a few years ago for the mild 360 that was originally planned for this heap. After talking to TA, it was decided to try it behind this motor for decent street manners. Same with the 3.55’s, as it’s...

    360 sb la with

I just plugged a drive shaft in from Speedway. It was built by Fastshafts, a local builder for them. Great service...arrived here in CA 7 (SEVEN!!!) days after ordering. It looks like a well done piece! As for measuring, FOLLOW the instructions on their website. Mine was spot on!

I googled them and there’s one in Wyoming and one in Georgia. The Wyoming seems to the best choice, based on Google activity. Good luck! I once bought a race car from Irving. Big Inch Small Block

That’s what she said! Baaaahaha. I have been inspired by your deal! No bar/cage as we are running out of tracks in Kalifornia. But Sac (until it closes) will let me make a few 1/8 mile squirts on a test and tune night. If it hooks and can go 6.5-something, I’ll be tickled pink! Especially on a...
