    VIN tag should be located on the dash behind the drivers side looking through the windshield from the outside. Input these ## into the decoder on this site and you will have your information. Also check the drivers door jamb for a data plate which will have the VIN # on it.

    I would only use the teflon tape around the base of the threads, not towards the tip of the bolt so as to avoid getting any tape into the pan. My wife's Bronco was leaking at the plug, and even with a new plug with "O" ring style gasket on the new bolt, it was still weeping oil out. I wrapped...

    Try wrapping some teflon tape around the threads and do not tourque the bolt down too tight.

    My Duster has 124,000 on the body and 21,560 on the rebuilt engine. Transmission has approx 165 miles since installed new last summer.

    Mopar electrical gremlins maybe? I would not worry about the idiot light as long as he has strong oil pressure and the coolant, temp and ammeter levels are OK.

    Easy enough to just pull torque converter/flywheel bolts and turn engine over to see if that's the issue.

    Might as well just pull the engine at this point. I do not believe there is any other way to drop the pan without having to disconnect the mounts and at that point the engine can be removed easily anyway.
