Pretty sure I have a complete 76 VB but don't know if it's out of a 904 or 727. If it's from a 727 you may have to elongate one of the holes in the separator plate to get it to bolt up to a 904. It's real easy with a small die grinder bit. If that interests you let me know

You won't find a much better deal on one than what Dr. Diff offers. Most good used factory clutch type sure grips go for $350 or higher nowadays. Dr. Diff sells new ones for about $380

I think if your using a Mallory electronic dist and the Mallory 6A box you don't have to use the resistor, it's optional. I agree it's cheaper but I just did one and found out the 8.8 axle tubes are much lighter duty (3/16" thick vs. 3/8" thick) than 8-3/4 tubes so your saving money but not getting as much bang for your buck. Plus to do it right you need the pucks and bar to get things straight. The one I just did...
