    Info needed

A mutual acquaintance of mine that lives about 20 miles SW of Raleigh NC either needs a good running slant 6 for his 69 Dart or a recommendation of someone in that area that's competent and reliable to rebuild his. Does anyone here have any suggestions for me to give to him? Thanks, Tracy

"You" are listing a boat for sale. Why in the world would "you".....

lol... I hear ya Del. I've been looking at motorcycles again and it's amazing how many people will take one or 2 pics of it from behind basically just showing the back fender and wheel stored in a cluttered up garage. Completely useless IMO

    Generic Lysol problem

I wanted to warn everyone with varnished/stained hard wood surfaces that watch out for the generic Lysol Walmart sells under the label "Great Value". I bought a can of it cause it was less than half the cost of regular Lysol and yesterday my wife started using it and immediately noticed anywhere...

    Are these gears workable?

Unfortunately it's just a paper weight. Ring and pinions are matched sets. If you mix and match them they do not work. I learned that the hard way when I was a kid. Tried mixing and matching a ring/pinion set and it howled like a banshee

    Amateur radio anyone

I do remember your thread on taking the towers down. Was sorry to see you have to do that. Also sorry to hear about the noise. Sounds like a good RX loop might be a big help. I have some noise here too but not terrible. Pretty luck in that area. That story about the amp the blind guy built is...

    Amateur radio anyone

I already know of a few other hams on this board. Just curious who is very active and what your into. I got my ticket 20 yrs. ago next month. Nice relaxing easy hobby that you can do while it's too cold or if your between jobs on the car. I built a 6 element beam for 6M in 2001 and then a 13 ele...

    truck wheel rant

I can understand that it's a turn off to many because you read so much of people just posting useless information like what their doing nearly every minute of the day, posting a new pic of them-self or their kid every day or 2. That's what turns a lot of people off to FB, and did me in the...

    truck wheel rant

Have you tried ads on facebook? I see a lot of tires and wheels listed there. In fact I bought a nice set of 20" wheels and tires for winter use on my Ram R/T, (it has wide 22's that are completely useless in the snow) for a decent price from a guy about 25 miles from me

    Terrible!

Me and a buddy have been using them for several years without a problem. We bought the best they had though. No taking chances

    Terrible!

I've thought of that too and came up with a solution. I use my push broom to reach under the car to slide the stands out. Works like a charm
  20. fishy68

    Terrible!

Unfortunately it happens too often. I remember an incident back in the 80's when my neighbor narrowly escaped death. He was working under the back end of a Chevette with the wheels on blocks and I'm not sure exactly what happened but the car ended up on him. Danny was a real big and strong guy...

    Lost a good friend

I don't know all the details except that a good friend and long time gearhead (75 yrs old) died last night as the result of someone speeding (cops estimate 75-80 mph at time of impact, 55 mph zone) and not paying any attention (no evidence they even hit the brakes before impact) hit my long time...

    Worthless people.

Great job man. Hard to believe anyone would be so heartless to just let someone lay there and die when all they had to do was make a 30 second phone call. Now hopefully the woman will realize she almost died and turn her life around
