    I have checked the front end parts Ball joints Tierod ends ect..nothing seems bad, only thing I found was the lower shock mounting rubber is bad...going to replace them and see what happens

    Someone did a bad unsafe repair. Not sure how they even drove it. Anyway, I want to try to fix it right. It's even the wrong cam bolt and adjusters and it's only this one part. The other side is fine and the rear mount on this side is fine

    I picked up another project I thought was better than it was not anyway. Passenger side upper control arm mount need repaired. The one closest to the front of the car. Can I adjust, replace or repair the bracket itself or do I need to change the whole piece out? I know they make an aftermarket...

    thanks sat i will be back working on it, i have to jack it back up and get the tension off of the tbars again, and try to get the bars in more to get the clips on, the bars seems to stop not far enough to get the clips in the groove...driverside i can see the groove some what, pass side not at...

    so here's an update, so i got the bb torsion bars, thanks eddie, removed the uca bump stop, dropped down the lca, put the torsion bar boots in boiling water, cut a transmission fluid funnel to the size of the hex on the torsion bar then slid the boots up the funnel end and onto the tbars no...

    the second pic is the position i cant raise the lca, the other two pics are of one hex back where i have been all along....at that position it wont hold up the front end..

    i never had the bars out, just slid them back to get the lca out,,,i tried the next hex....but that puts me back to where i was,,,,it wont hold the front up

    here is a update...i have the lca almost vertical, adjuster bolt is almost out, bar is in.... but now i cant raise the lcu without lifting the car off the stand...before lca moves....its like iam one hex two much...i dont know now...

    they came out pretty easy, just tapped the lca toward the rear and it fell out.

    the bolt is almost out, and the lever that the bolt touches is all the way down.

    seem to be something like that, i know i sound like a broken record....the above service manual instructions dosnt say anything about clocking bars if everything lines up...i mean if everything is at its lowest, and the bar goes in both sockets, then isnt up to the bar and adjuster to do its job?

    whats hard to understand, is everyone has just pull the bars out, and slid them back in, with no issues...sounds simple, others say that i have them clocked wrong, dont i just make sure that the lca and its scocket is as low as it will go and install bar?

    i pulled out the /6, and installed the 440...it did hold the 440 up, not to where i liked it but driveable i never driven the car, it has never left the garage, i decided to rebuild the suspension which i did, and here we are,,,lol

    With the LCA pointed down, then grab onto the hex with a pipe wrench or something and turn it down also. Just because you've pointed the Lca down doesn't mean that your going into the next position on the hex. You must turn the hex to get the bar in the correct position. so with the lca...
