stroker vs. non-stroker (here we go again!?)

Let me start off with that I wasn't trying to come off as hostile or anything, I just enjoy making hyperboles out if your statements lol. It is simple physics though. Your piston is traveling a greater distance, therefore it takes more time; which in turn lowers peak torque rpm, which means less...

stroker vs. non-stroker (here we go again!?)

I'm not saying it's critical "oh no my engine can't rev above 5000 cause it's stroked" kind of thing, but get that stroke long enough it's going to start having effect. As for the second part, yes valves are as much as part of the breathing as... about the whole engine. So a big valve can be...

stroker vs. non-stroker (here we go again!?)

Yeah I'm really just rounding off to an over-square vs. under-square engine there. I take it more as same displacement engine but getting there through stroking or boring. If it's just stroking or nothing at all, then yeah valves won't change; but how is it even a real question at the point, why...

stroker vs. non-stroker (here we go again!?)

Depends on what the engines for? Straight racing: stroked, more low end/mid torque and higher compression. Only draw back is can't rev as high and can't put in as large of valves. Street: over square: tends to breathe better due to being able to use larger valves and less wear from longer stroke

    beater car lets seem them

99 grand cherokee I got for free and runs smooth as anything. Don't see any reason why I couldn't put another 70,000 miles on it easy.

    What oil are you using

I usually use castrol edge 5w-50 because of the higher zinc. What intervals do you guys generally change your vr-1? Always heard it had to be changed a bit more often. And what is a wix filter?

    Match Race 1972 ~ 'Road Runner/GTX 440' vs. 'Buick GS 455'

Exactly! GTX has the legs to get away!

    Match Race 1972 ~ 'Road Runner/GTX 440' vs. 'Buick GS 455'

I'm going GTX on this one. Buick has the ungodly amount of torque to take the right off the line lead, but the GTX really has the legs to pull ahead.

    Seldom seen colors.

B1: blue sky Edit: Chrysler calls it blue sky, dodge just calls it light blue.
