Driving a long distance in hot weather without AC?!

Wet towel on the dash. Dab your forehead, neck, and arms with a rag in ice water. Drink cold water and chew ice constantly. Battery-powered or 12-volt fan. It's not that bad.

    Nightmare Radiator Change

Most of us have days that are like a blues song no one wrote because it wouldn't even be a good blues song. I enjoyed reading it all the way through til the happy ending. Sometimes it helps just to vent doesn't it?

    Had a ideer for a A/C system

I know how you feel Dusterkid I once had an 'idea' before a long trip, I wrapped a few of those blue plastic freezer things in wet washcloths and fastened up to the vents, called it 'Mexican Air Conditioning' (no offense to any Mexican people) but it did not work well.

Help with AC Identification? What is it?

In the '65 owners manual, they show 2 options: factory a/c with integrated controls on the dash for heat & defrost and the chrome vents, and "cool air" dealer-installed a/c. Both will freeze you out.

    HELP!!!! Need V8 radiator

I went thru this too and spent a lot to have a custom radiator made. In hindsight, what I learned is you don't need the exact radiator, other years will work, but the outlets must be in the right location. You may have to do some minor fabbing with the brackets and drill new mounting holes. Also...

    Radiator Issues

It would be better to take it to a good radiator shop, then you will still have the correct radiator.

    Radiator Issues

Wish I would have known about these guys, I shelled out $500+. Seems like the first thing and old car needs when you buy it is a new radiator. If it were me I would call them and ask where they are manufactured. Their warranty sounds good, for as long as you own the car, and the price is good...

    Thoughts/Opinions?

Sorry, back to the subject of the thread, radiators. To share my experience 1-800-RADIATORS got me to a local company who took my order over the phone, with me stating the dimentions, outlets, and other details then had it built for me somewhere, it was here in a couple weeks. $524. Pricey yes...

    Thoughts/Opinions?

I don't see it as a can of worms at all...somewhere along the way people have lost the inner motivation to do their best. It's that simple.
