Like stroker said it usually whistles from the base gasket, that carb doesn't look that old, don't see how the secondary shaft could be wore that much, my old 600 has been rebuilt 3 times and the shafts are still in good shape..

I'd score a good used RPM for around $140-$150 then pull that streetmaster off and sell it for like $75... Problem solved for around $75 out of pocket.. That's just me...

That $120 for the torker you could add a little more with it and get a good used RPM intake if you shop around..

I got an EXCELLENT cell with foam, fittings and straps from a guy on here awhile back for $80 shipped, fits right down in a mopar spare tire well.. I'd run a wanted ad on here if ya wanna save some cash...

If you want a good two barrel on the cheap, I'd find a motorcraft off an older ford truck, the junkyards are full of them...

What will get this crap build up out of my filler pipe, "cheap"?? I removed the baffle thing out of it.. This will run to my fuel cell...

I would'nt try that... Gas will eat it.... Maybe you can find the o-ring in the morning..

Only trouble I ever had out of an edelbrock was a hole in a float, burned rich, idled fine, would bog if you kicked it on take off... I kept thinking it was my timing, just a bad float in mine....
