That's a good idea, but I think most drag strips require you have a switch someone from the outside of the car can kill the power incase you crash or have an accident...

My two tracks are 1/8 mile, their just happy to see a car pull through the gate, their not going to be kickin' a guys tires to much... I was thinking if a battery is disconnected, isnt's it disconnected no matter if you kill the positive or the ground.. Maybe I'm thinking wrong here....

I used to work at the only scrap/recycle yard in the county, we never got any aluminum plate in thick or big enough to make a motor plate out of... All we have around here is rock, dirt, trees and one wal-mart...

I'm good at fabbin', don't know any place around here that sells aluminum plate...

Guy had it listed as a #5987, so I guess it's a 440... He had the top listed as #1913, I was pulling up 1913 as a chevy top on the net...

That's my problem, people can't tell the difference between a 383 and a 440, one guy has a tunnel ram listed to fit a 383,440 and hemi, some real brite people on ebay.. Thanks for lookin'...
