    8.25 rear end advice

I meant to change the first gear to 2.74. After more study I think I'll run it and see how it goes, then, if necessary. buy a new carrier with the 2.96 gears. The slants are torky anyway, we'll see what happens. Thanks for the input.

    8.25 rear end advice

Picked up an 8.25 rear end to put behind my 65 barracuda slant 6 so I could get the BBP axles. Believed the ratio to be 2.76 but as it turns out it is 2.45. What do you suggest to get the raatio back to about 2.76? a) change the gears in the 904 (with rear pump) b) try to get rid of the rear end...

    7.25 sure grip

A friend said that the 7.25 came in bbp and sure grip and that I might be able to use something like that if the...

Which vehicles came with a 7.25 SG? Were 5 on 4.5 axles available? I'm confused, nothing new for a fellow my age.

    904 dual pumper

Thanks for all the input. Can't have too much information about the system, Mom and Dad bought the car new and I am going to make it over into a almost daily driver. As I said this is the original trans and I don't plan to change it under normal conditions. May everyone have a blessed day.

    904 dual pumper

A few years ago when I had my /6 rebuilt in my 65 cuda, I had the tranny done also. The shop quoted me for a 904. When I picked the car up ( I didn't really pick the car up, I didn't want to show off) they said it had 2 pumps, 1 in front and another in the rear. Said they should have charged...
