170 slant six with oil dipstick tube issue...does anyone know the length from the top of the tube to the oil pan / block joint? I know, I know...don't even ask!! LOL:realcrazy::rofl:

So I thought I had replied, but seems it didn't go... I will obtain an OEM valve cover and the PCV cap. If you have an OEM PCV, I would buy it from you...OBTW, still have the A/C unit you sold me in the box in the garage...getting close now and will be installing it this spring :lol:

OK. I looked. I will get an OEM valve cover...(got any?) SO if I get the OEM Valve cover, I can just stick the PCV on the breather and run a hose to the carb?

Hi Dan. Was reading the Engine Serial Number Decode and Crankcase Ventilation thread....I have my stock 170 and am looking to convert to a PCV from the draft tube...I have changed out the base of the carb so I have a PCV port. Can you tell me what PCV I need...I think the older engines are...
