Has anyone fit the (summit, speedway, pirate jack; they all look the same) E-brake compatible rear disc brake kit to their 8 3/4” A body rear end, and been able to clear 14” rally wheels (4.5” BBP)? They say 15” wheels but I’ve got 14x7” 4.5” Rallye wheels that I heard can fit some disc kits...
Have you used a vacuum pump to bleed the brakes? Also, after rebuild, did you prime the master cyl and air bleed that? Lastly, did you rebuild the master? If so, old MC rubbers or unhoned MC bore can kill the whole system
GO DISC. When you need to stop, you won't give a hoot about the $ you saved keeping drums. I am about to do a stock SBP disc setup on my '66 Valiant; too many freeway "close calls" told me to DO IT.
I am rebuilding some original small-bolt K-H disc brakes, want to use higher-performance parts. Where do I find better rotors and pads for my car? Ideally I want some cross-drilled, slotted rotors to show through my rallye wheels...
For that price I'm just gonna buy it, and rely on return policy if it's not as direct a fit as stated. Perhaps there are brackets for multiple fitments included. Since I'm not a concours guy by any means, if it fits and works who the hell cars if it's not OEM? haha.... I'll post updates as...
Found this piece on the 'bay, looks like all I'd need to do is install and bend/fab some brake lines to get it all installed? Currently I've got manual drum/drum and power steering on a /6 car, so this makes sense to help driveability.... Not a poorly spent $120. Any problems with install or...
