    Storing car in shipping container

    i know guys that winter store 2 or 3 cars in tractor trailer trailers.I think they make sure the air can whistle right though small vents and the trailers are up on blocks. I don't think they do anything else but i'm not sure?

    i drilled and tapped my jack and bolt a plywood base with two 2 x 2's that cradle the pig and has a strap that secures it across the top.Roll it past the housing,line it up and pull it back in.Makes the install quite easy but you still have to get under there and finish things up though.

    stainless steel is just any steel with nickel added.Nickel is not overly hard so it will be as hard as the parent steel. 1/4 turn clockwise followed by 1/2 turn back to clean your threads

    one of my most used tools.I drill and tap most anything i build..even .100 and .125 thick mild steel ...so easy to thread and cast iron even easier. i often drill and re-thread one size bigger instead of heli coil. always chase threads to clean....a "must have tool"

    gas pressure shields your weld ( liquid metal) from contamination the flux when heated produces a gas and does the same thing...just not as effective

    Buffer for polishing.

    Don if you're just waxing, there are a ton of six inch polishers very inexpensive,i think mine is a Turtle wax cheapie and it works great for wax. If you expect to wet sand,cut and buff paint the above style is necessary.

    still scraping undercoating today and when i tried to get up i was like a flipped turtle. i'm getting too old for this as well. you could consider a 4 or 5 foot scissor jack,they collapse to about 3 or 4",need no posts and are very reasonbly priced

    ..you might check with a few garages and find out who does the installations in your area. that company may have good used take outs available which they refurbish and will usually install quite reasonably.
