I agree.......dump the ballast. That's what I did.

I have (4) 4 bulb shoplights and (2) 2 bulb shoplights that I converted over from fluorescent's to LED about 4 years ago and it was the best thing I did for in my garage.

Yeah Mitch, I just switched out the bulbs and didn't have to replace any of the the fixture's. All you need to do is bypass the ballast by cutting the wire's for it and re-wire. Positive to one end of the light and neutral or negative to the other side. It's fairly easy once you get the hang of it.

When I bought my T-8 LED's, I got a case of 20 for around $800.00 When going to LED's,you will have to re-wire the light fixture and do away with the ballast.

I replaced all my T-8 flourescent bulbs with LED's,and what a big difference they made. They are way brighter and use less electric. I will eventually do the same with the basement lights.

That will buff out.

I use it to kill the bullthistles in the yard. Turns them black in a couple hours including the surrounding area. Better than Roundup or any weed killer product I used. John
