    Your correct there Mr.67. They are almost identical to the brakes in my Cherokee, and my Dakota, and my Duster. If I was goin that far I'd do the axle seals as well.

    I found It's best to do one side at a time , that way you can look at the other side while your rebuilding them.

    Spray the self adjuster while your there and back it down so you got no threads showing,...this'll help with the dissassembly...again, you got any brake tools???If not, get some from NAPA,....Brake pliers, and a hold down spring tool,...you can do It without these, but they make it alot...

    Prolly an 8 1/4,...firstly you need to spray the brake bleeder screw and bolts on the wheel cylinder with some penetrating oil and let it sit while doin yer homework,...trust me, It'll help...got tools???

    If you have to open up the system, take a good hard long look at the rubber lines for the brakes,...they have a tendency to "close up" on the inside,...they'll let fluid pass thru under braking pressure, but won't release,....lots of poeple replace calipers and wheel cylinders to no avail cause...

    Whoa,....Stop,...(pun inteneded),....but seriously folks,...Before you open up the system,...Didja adjust the brakes??? Usually the self adjusters don't,....raise the wheels offa the dirt and give those adjusters a couple of turns till you just start to feel the drag while spinnin the wheel...

    Precisely,...But I had the car to part out, and I like a high hard pedal,...I did It cause I got tired of puttin rotors on the truck after towing my little Omni's and Horizon up and down the hills here.

    Checked with my bud at the stealership,..Late 80's Cop brakes are 11', they will fit and work, but you'll have to change or swap the Master Cylinder as well as the proportioning valve. I did this on my 90 Dakota, kinda nice having bigger brakes when towing.

    Interesting, I've got manual discs on the spacer and i've been unable to find power booster or correct prop valve,...maybe i won't need to change them after all you say...
