I have a nice set of used Hyd lifters 1980's or so i need to use on a 68 340 4spd cam is there anywhere in Canada that regrinds used lifters . i may need to send them to the U.S Which is not a problem just more expence .

Not to derail your thread but i called Trick Flow a month ago they told me the intakes are there and just need some machining and then boxed and will be ready for sale in less than a month fast forward to yesterday i called again and they told me they are still waiting for a foundry to make a...

i was talking to them early this week and Jeff told me there in the machining process now then need to be boxed he told me to check summit in two weeks and then check every week after that he said it's hard to find high quality machining and they want it as close to perfect as they can get .

i i know it would and did start but i wanted bewy to explain why he thought it wouldn't .

the air gap will flow way more air than that 340 will suck in , not enough engine to take advantage of the air gat which will feed over 500hp with a port match .

big difference between 3150 and 4000 should be easy to tell driving down the road 3150 is a little buzzie 4000 is screaming .

3159 rpm at 60mph with 3.73 gear and 25'' tire and 5% c slip on a wallace calculator if i filled it out right .

rotella can't be that bad my Detroit has over 20 thousand hours on it and my last oil test rated it in great condition . it was rebuild the 1st time at 31 thousand hours it didn't need it but for piece of mind , where i work you can't call a taxi or walk home .

i also asked about an offset rocker head for the sb and he said they were looking into it but the geometry and the lifter angles and deck angles were a major problem for what they had in mind .

well good news i was just talking to jeff at trick flow and he told me they are having quality problems but he just received a bunch of samples and they are looking a lot better they now have the same foundry as the big block making them he figured another month or so they want them to be near...

well i was just talking to summit racing and according to them the Trick Flow intake has been DISCONTINUED . I'm going to call trick flow next to see what they say .

i guess anymore copies of this intake will never be , is it a manufacturing problem or did it not live up to there expectations ?
