    Strut Rod Bushing???

I just did this job and used poly's. I think they were cheap. They came with 4 bushings and 2 sleeves. They are from energy suspension part number 5.7109G and you have the flat side towards the crossmember and the half moon side towards the outer washers. [(|--|)] Hope that makes sense lol...

hit hard bump now car sits too far down???

Thank you to everyone here. I think the winner is the lca adjuster-but because its a guess that's what it may have been. I took off the top mount to the shock before I raised the car. Shock expanded as I jacked up car- shock is good. Took tire off-everything looked good and tight. No seen broken...

I did hit the curb a little hard.Had to hurry across 2 lanes. Both bolts for adjusting ride height were about the same. I did bounce car after each adjustment. I tightened all bolts after car was setting on ground and adjusted. I will have to get my Durango tomorrow as it has all my tools in it...

hit hard bump now car sits too far down???

I was thinking that also but I thought the torsion bars did ride height and shocks were just there for the bumps to "deaden the blow" kind of thing? Im hoping its just a blown shock. Spent the last 2 days working on the lca bushings. Probably have only 10 hours into it but between looking for...

hit hard bump now car sits too far down???

I just replaced the lower control arm bushings and strut rod bushings. Put about 10-15 miles on car and drove great. I get back into town and hit the 2 inch-or so- curb going into advance auto. I didn't run over the curb- its just a high entrance for some reason. Anuway- now my car sits way too...

    t bar slot horizontal? vertical?

ok- was just curious here because I thought these-the stock ones- were not exactly straight. Like they had a slight bend to them. Just thought I saw a pic of some that had that slight taper to them and you had to put the taper like it was point out to the front corners of the car. A little hard...

    74 duster lca bolts/studs?? replace?

I went and bought a new lower ball joint to put on my 74 duster. Problem is when I went to loosen nut ??15/16"?? it wont come off. Damn thing had either the nut or the stud threads stripped. Are these studs easily replaceable? Maybe I got lucky and its just the nut? Any ideas on how to get the...

    LCA Bushing Replacement

those collars were for loose fitting bushings. You may or may not need to reuse them. If I remember correctly-mine had 1 on it- the control arm hole was a bit over size and that collar basically was a press fit to snug in the bushing. Kind of like an unthreaded nut. A tightening collar if you will.
