    3/4" X 3/4" Heim Joints ?

New tube ends are like $8 ea, i would have just made a new set of tubes so you still have the old ones.

    Smallest manual steering box

There is a brace that bolts or welds to the frame with a triangulated bracket. The length of the replacement pivot pin isn't much longer than the stock pivot pins, off the top of my head it's probably an inch longer.

QA1 style stock replacement k member

Sorry guys, i keep forgetting to respond to this. I'm not really looking to build anymore at the moment. I had 20 hours into that one all said and done. I don't think people realize the about of work that goes into properly making a piece like this, even when your building it in a fixture. I'm...

Pm me what you'd be interested in. I think i sold you some car parts before and we figured out the shipping.

QA1 style stock replacement k member

Yeah, the qa1 just has the biscuit mounts vs the spool mounts. I think thats why they list it that way. I have had my k members put on 69 cars up to 74 and haven't had any install calls, questions or issues. I haven't made an a body one with motor mounts yet though. I have the provisions on my...

QA1 style stock replacement k member

I prefer to build them without motor mounts but can make them with spool mounts. You have to use aftermarket strut rods though, or i can make those as well. I had some interest from this thread when i posted it but guys wanted me to build them cheaper than the QA1 and i just can't do that...

QA1 style stock replacement k member

I'm still around, i still have the fixture to build them. My wife and i had a baby last year so i just quit pushing this stuff. I made and sold 5 or 6 of these, there hasn't been any issues.

    QA1 install.

I made 5 k members for stock steering that used the stock components. Mine were 13lbs lighter than factory made from .120 wall 1-5/8 tubing. How does that QA1 weigh so much? Anyone know what they are made from?

anybody copy and make there own front coil over kit like alterkation

Depends on how the patent is written, it's all about the wording. That said, I don't think anyone has a patent on these systems but I do agree with dukeboy, your going to have a lot of time and money in doing it yourself. I had quite a bit invested when I did my coil over kit.

Haven't had a request for that yet but it would be pretty easy to add.

QA1 style stock replacement k member

I didn't realize that meant you wanted me to send you a pm. The price is $600 without motor mounts or $650 with spool mounts. While I realize this is more than the QA1 I believe this to be a better alternative to the QA1. These are all round tubing and TIG welded. If I made something that...

QA1 style stock replacement k member

Yeah, my bad, I was looking at QA1's website. I believe this is a much nicer peice than the QA1 though, I can't build them any cheaper.

QA1 style stock replacement k member

I have built them with and without motor mounts. This works with stock arms or aftermarket, my coil over kits bolt up just like the stock arms. If your arms retain the stock pivot pin dimensions it works. I'm not sure about the dragster pan, if you sent me some pics I could look into it.

They are priced cheaper, summit offers the qa1 at $700. I think I have them priced fairly. I have a day job, I do this stuff on the side to earn some extra money, I'm not going to short change myself just to take time away from my family.

Coil over conversion for stock k member/steering

Kits are available for 64-67 cars as well but you will need to ream the spindle or have switched to 73 and up spindle.

I cut the shaft back quite a bit and I installed the bearing (there's a thread in here somewhere) and then used a u joint.

I don't, sorry. I only have a kit that works down to 64.

HDK coil over system - spring selection

Guys have been running coil overs on stock lowers for years, how would it not work? Bolt coil over to lca, if you want, tap the pivot pin and put a plate on it, done!

QA1 style stock replacement k member

Probably be about $550- $600, the motor in the pictures is set really low, oil pan clearance wouldn't be an issue with any pan. I do not have time to build them on a full time basis, I would probably just build 5 up and sell them then make another batch whenever I have time. With a QA1 strut...

QA1 style stock replacement k member

Would anyone be interested in a nicer round tubular version of the QA1 stock replacement k member? I have built and fixtured one up. I don't have time to do this and have them in stock to ship. My thoughts are doing a few at a time and offering them up at a similar price point as the QA1...
