We live in southeastern CT....any good car shows this weekend? 7/20/13...we're particularly fond of hot rods, rat rods, and Kustoms...we aren't afraid to drive
I think I'll be okay. The AG's office will indemnify my...I think! I was more surprised that after 10 years my first assault and lawsuit came so close together and both involved legally blind Hispanic inmates. Statistically what are the chances?
...but a big THANKS to everyone for the moral...
Thanks, I've been pouring through the material and so far I've only been able to find one reference to me. So to oversimplify things, this inmate lodged a complaint about an issue, didn't show up for his grievance review, so I denied it.
Don't know yet...haven't read the whole lawsuit, but I weighed it. A little over 3#'s. I'm sure it will be over some perceived injustice that can only be made right by giving him money.
Inmates can pretty much sue anybody for anything...for free
short version:
I work in a jail. I've been out of work for a couple weeks r/t being injured. I was sucker punched by Hispanic inmate that is legally blind. Today I went back to work and find that I'm being sued by a different inmate, who is also Hispanic, and also legally blind.
Not quite sure...
here's a similar story, but in the OPPOSITE direction...20+ years ago I went to look at a Jeep Commando under the impression that it was running good. Turns out it "ran good" before it didn't run at all. I called a couple days later and offered 40% of his asking price being that all I could...
OK...my car burns and leaks a lot of oil. I buy gallon jugs whenever I see a good sale. I got a gallon of NAPA 10w-40 for $11 and stuck it in the garage. Went to get it yesterday...AND IT WAS EMPTY!!!...top still sealed, no obvious leaks, no stain on the floor, and was definately full when I...
I bought a worse for wear 69 Roadrunner when I was 18 and it was still a monster. Like so many other kids, I spent all my money on the car and had no money for improvements...like decent tires. I think it had bias-ply 78's. I could never get off the line, but I was the local smoke show king!
Roadrunner + GTO were at least named after muscle cars, also liked the way a plain scoop was dubbed "shaker"...a couple pony car based ones...the rest are stand alone abominations
Well Joe, I highly reccommend you go next year. I find the overall vibe of the whole crowd is more casual + fun than at a lot of other shows. They are very liberal with the cars they let in the show too. The cutoff year is 1975, that's about the only restriction. Usually have a good display of...
Granted, I'm no expert, and electronics baffle me...so over the years I have learned my lesson about giving advice on sublects I'm less than familiar with...
I love the Ramblers. I like straight sixes. Was humming + hawing 'tween the Slant 6 + AMC 232 or 258. Went with the Slant cuz it easier to find parts...not always "easy"...but "easier"...
OK, today I was trying to help a buddy get his no-name chinese scooter running...
scene: 2 guys working on a chinese scooter and a 20yr old stoner kid coming down the sidewalk:
KID: "Hey, what's up?"
ME: "We're trying to get this scooter running. It's got real feeble spark."
KID: "I work at...
