I've got a 3.55 Ring and Pinion in my garage that came out of a 742 carrier if you're interested and can find a bare carrier. The biggest differences are the driveshaft u-joint sizes. The 741 uses the small one, and the 742 and 489 use the larger size. The 489 also uses a clutch type...

Edit: I'm assuming this is a 225 slant six motor....? You didn't specify? A 904 will fit that 225, but you'd better make sure it's a slant six 904 and not a small block! Any turbo'ed motor is going to get the best performance out of fuel injection... check out http://slantsix.org or...

Or if you have a Mopar Dealership near you that sells performance parts... they have a chart and usually have most of the gears in stock.. they run between $15 and $40 something I think...

Any antique vehicle with AV plates here in IL is exempt, and the plates are less then half the cost of regular ones and are good for 4 years!! Pays to have an AV car!
