    I replaced the lower bulb & socket with dual filament too to enhance the output just a tad more. The pics do make the lights look brighter than they really are, but they are bright and LOTS more noticeable than what spray paint will do even during high noon sunlight.

    This may be the issue at hand as others have mentioned. Lube up the retaining rod screws (bottom) and remove them just to check in depth for the holes and replace the top sealing gasket to eliminate future issues.

    Ok I have cleaned up the area the best I could with wire brush and small shop vac with hose reduced down to 3/8" rubber hose so I can get up behind the lip of the mount. I'll get the air hose in there tomorrow and repeat the process and make sure the drain path isn't plugged up before repairing...

    It's too close to chance it, plus you will get better fitting results with tank out so you can seal the underneath when done. Replacement of the fuel inlet seal is recommended too while it's down!
