The decal is the cheaper way. My concern is will the decal start to lift over time or bubble etc . I guess most cars have decals and owners are satisfied.

Use the glass polish . Steel wool and razor will scratch the glass. You wont notice it until you drive into the Sun .

I thought glass naturally blocks UV ? Dont like the look of tint on classic cars . I also ride a motorcycle and can’t see peoples eyes behind the tint . Makes me crazy ! That being said I have considered tinting the rear glass on my fastback because the carpet fades really fast !

Welcome to Idaho ! Do you have access to a Hotsy ? Try washing it down with a heavy Dawn solution then power washing it off .

Why people insist on using WD-40 as a lubricant is beyond me . It will work for the moment but is of no benefit after that . I would use penetrating oil if I used any fluid lubricant. My Swinger hood groans as well but I am going to be painting soon and dont want any contaminants on the body .

Mine are @ 2" / 9" / 16.5 / 23.5 measuring from the A-Pillar inwards from each side . The middle 2 are only 3.5" apart center to center. So they appear to be at specific intervals.
