    I have the cheapo Headmans on my 75 Dart with P/S but stock oil pan. They are the ones that hang low on the drivers side though and can be smashed pretty easy.

    From my experience it is always easier to put them in while the engine is out. Hang them from the shock bolts with wire. Make sure your studs have been removed from the heads.

    Soak them in Evapo-rust then brush and paint with the Eastwood coating.

    Common problem with many different approaches. I have turn downs but, the AAR/TA style mufflers could get you there with turn outs in front of the tire.

    Are you wanting stainless or just mild steel? You can go down to your local semi supply house and get 3" mandrel bends and pipe.... I've seen a few guys make it out the back with the 3".

    Using and H or X has never been about quiet for me. I found improvement on everything. It is cheap power for most cars running an exhaust system. And for guys that can't buy all the parts they want when they want, already have parts on hand they want to use, did't design the thing on a CAD...
