    A lean burn Distributor has no mechanical and is able to accept vacuum pod and breaker plate. Simple and safe. 20 degrees initial and a 14-16 degree pod... Well you get the idea.... FBO plate on zero should do the same thing.

    Hoping you've already got oil system mods. Peace of mind in billet main caps with studs and a girdle. Some will say no need of girdle but there has been evidence of main cap walk in the HP range you are looking at. Indy or B-1 heads would kick butt however valve train is proprietary.

    I used a live shaft Lean Burn distributor. I added a breaker plate and vacuum pod from a regular electronic distributor. Fixed timing at say 19 or so with a vacuum advance set to manifold vacuum-pressure. Not sexy but it works.

    Crank pulleys for Mopar are pretty universal including the 426 Hemi and big block. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a crank pulley for a Hemi and it should bolt to your crank hub.

    What intake manifold? On single plane manifolds the sequential firing of #6,#5 and #7 can deplete the cloud for #7 in some rpm ranges.

    I'm with you on that, not so much high pressure but at least lots of volume. One of my machinists always says all that extra oil pressure and volume is just a mini dyno robbing power. I said I would gladly give up those few ponies for peace of mind....

    Supercharger or turbo? With the turbo requiring an oil feed I would go HV. With a supercharger having its own lube I see no need.

    Late model cover with an early balancer or the other way around? Find TDC and mark your balancer again and go from there.... Does your engine have the bolt on stamped steel timing tab or the one cast into the aluminum timing cover?

    Check out the products available at HotHeads. There are also some industrial exhaust manifolds that exit at both ends rather than bottom dump and are quite handy for things like turbos. You may have seen these manifolds on the air raid siren pics.

    All three of my 75 A-bodies had 8.25 rears with 2.45 gears. The 4 speed car sounded like a NASCAR wind up and when I hit O.D. I realized the tires were not speed rated.... I found a set of 3.55s and a posi from a Dakota on ebay and they fit with minimal trouble in the Dart's housing.
