Problem solved. Fuel not getting to the carb. Didn't relate to the steering column at all. But, I did find some interesting issues along the way. Still need to figure out why I can start the car in any gear. Btw, I bought a digital factory service manual for the 74. Thanks to all.

I'm checking my steering column connections to see if they have continuity. One of the connectors looks fried, wondering if that is the problem. Where can I find a new connector? I don't need the exact one, I can change it.

I do have spark, I just tested it. So that tells me since the starter IS turning over and if I had fuel and air, shouldn't this thing start?

I do have a service manual for the 73 but mine is a 74. What am I looking for to adjust the linkage?

That button is frozen. I put a jumper on the 2 wires and still no start. The starter is turning over. Isn't that a sign that this is NOT a problem? Doesn't this switch prevent the starter from turning over?

So I read that thread on the seat belt interlock. First what is this thing called? If I get rid of it, then I just need to connect the 2 wires yellow black stripe & tan. Is that correct?

Doing that now but if it started before I took the column out didn't think it would be an issue now.

Upon further review, the firewall mount looks like it was modified. Are those 2 bolts supposed to be there?

I have a 74 Dart Sport column shift that won't go into PARK. This car has power steering. I looked at it and the dash mounting bolts don't align and are not even screwed in. I cannot twist the column to line up. See the picture below.

How did you lower the rear 3.25"?
