How do you go about buying a car on the other side of the country?

Agreed. I purchased my 60 Valiant wagon from around Denver. I paid a local shop guy $100 to go out and give it the once over. He did find a couple things that were not mentioned and it affected the price slightly (100 buck so the inspection was free). I used a shipper bidding site where you...

Is anyone else "touchy" about their Mopar? (long rant...)

Build your car for you or you will be building forever.

Looking for early A convertible pics

I'm also restoring a 1960 Valiant wagon. It has roof rack, rear side deflectors and louvers on the interior back side windows.

Looking for early A convertible pics

The rack looks like it might have been a dealer installed option. During rebuild I had to decide whether to keep it or plug the holes. I it look great after 10 hours of polishing and kept it. Thanks!

    Wagons !! and more Wagons!!!

I was in a band many eons ago. We used a 67 Fury wagon to haul our gear. We could cram everything in there including a lot of wild nights. :-)

    It's winter, whats your projects

I never get as much done as I hoped. I did finally get the gas lines run and put in the venting and heat is awesome! I can keep a comfortable working temp easy. Pulled the gas tank cleaned and treated it with an Eastman product and just got it reinstalled with a new sender and hoses...

Finish gutting out the 60 and build the list of what I need. But first, finish the venting for the garage heater!!! Negative 16 degrees today.

I think I have become a Mopar snob

I go to a lot of shows and have met all types... I'm proud of my busted knuckles but don't hold buying cool against anyone. I do get a little irked with bullshitters of any stripe. A guy told once that my 64 couldn't have been a V8 car... It's not worth the energy to argue about unless they...

    Remember your first Mopar ?

It was a light green dream... A 1962 mint green road toad. No power nothing and I was just learning to drive. I remember my frustrated father saying "it will turn better if you're moving". It was easier but not better. It was typical 60's steering with about a foot of play. Also smelled...
