We were talking about the Saginaw Type II pumps that came on a lot of GM products.
From what I have found in this forum , The pressure can not be reduced internally on the G 3 Hemi pump.
I don't have the BBK , but this is how my F&B throttle body is set up .
It came with the rather flimsy throttle body mounted cable bracket ( I strenghtend it up alot ) . I made some brackets to secure the cable at two locations of the fuel rail bolts , and used a long lokar cable and cut it to...
Good work on the list Rat , I plan to take mine to the track again this week with different tires .
Yeah thats pretty hefty BBSwinger , must be the cage , at least your safe.
Buschi . The engine on the Above Engine Dyno had 23 degress timing and used 93 MON fuel .
The USA uses the MON rating , other countries including Australia and Europe use the RON rating . Look up octane rating on Wikipedia for more info .
I think ? you will be Ok with 25deg timing and 102...
Yes stock manifold and cable 80 mm TB .
Just remember that this is a Gross HP figure , like they used in the old days . the Factory 425 HP is net HP , so it's done with complete exhaust and front accessories . Not an apples to apples comparison , but still useful.
This was quite useful to me , so I thought I would share it . It's a stock 6.1 with 1 7/8 " headers , EFI Source megasquirt Gold Box and and WOT timing set at 23 degrees.
A while back I requested this from Mike at EFI Source , to help me fill out my convertor spec sheet . I posted it with his...
Thanks guys , in my case lowering the effective gear ratio numerically is the desired out come .
Bushi340 , Yes I think try these things , It will do no harm .
Give me a couple of days I will upload a stock 6.1 dyno printout .
Your 178 kph ( 110.5 mph ) suggests you are down approx. 25 hp , compared to mine .
25 deg : I think , is too much timing for WOT.
When dealing with NA engines , getting them of the line at near peak torque really helps ET's .
Traction issues : CalTracs work good .
I think the converter being right on the engines torque peak is a big contributor to the good ET .
The rev limiting that came in the ECU is very safe I think I'll leave it that way for now, it progressively cuts 12 deg of timing from 6000 - 6500 then cuts fuel . Mike at EFI Source told me I...
There's been a number of problems with it but the one that's bugging me the most is that the manifold vacuum pulls the throttle blade in so tight that it sticks , if I open the blade enough with the idle screw to eliminate that problem , the idle is around 1100 rpm , I don't know what to do next.
Yes good racing weather , don't think the 0 humidity part was accurate though .
4.11 gears 26" tyre 4700 converter . I havn't weighed the car since the engine swap but I guesstimate it's between 3400 and 3500 lbs with me in it. I want to try a 28' tyre .
The gold box is good so far , I've...
Sorry about lack of updates , I've been avoiding the computor as much as possable , to get things done . It's been up running for about a month now and I got it out to the track last week . this is the result from a stock 6.1 Hemi .
I removed both vent boxes , replaced with plate and flex tube leeding to remote eyeball vent , frees up some room while still providing some ventilation . I think I'll mount my ECU on pass side kick panal , and fuses , relays , bus bars , on panal inside firewall . I also like to retain glovbox.
