    Flowtech headers

Just run the front ride height on the high side and slow down tor the big bumps. A stiffer Torsion bar helps a lot.

DS 340 manifold on EQ heads

ahh, yes that would work but may get dinged in tech as rules state no adaptors. good ideas though. if the gasket mod and high temp rtv dosent work I think I'm going to try and weld a little I mig welded a crack on it and it held up all season

DS 340 manifold on EQ heads

Have to use stock un ported cast manifolds that's why I have a 70 340 DS and 93 magnum PS.

DS 340 manifold on EQ heads

That's kind of what I did. I took a 318 gasket and widened it to the magnum port then I used red rtv to help seal. I have not run it yet so I guess it remains to be seen if it works.

DS 340 manifold on EQ heads

I was mocking up the driver side manifold on my new EQ heads and noticed the bottom of the ports are not sealing because the port in the manifold is lower than the machined pad on the EQ heads. has anyone else run into this and if so how did you get them to seal ? Weld up the bottom od the...

    Cheap headers, and power steering?

Leave the header loose and hanging down. Reinstall the steering box and then bolt the header to the head. I had to do that with the manual steering box also.

    mufflers or no mufflers??

Those look like the early 273-318 manifolds. I'm far from an expert but I think those are just to small to flow well at anything over 5000 on a 360 size motor. I had a 383 rr motor in a cuda with C-body manifolds and it was a turd above 4500 but when i put headers on it would pull hard right...

    Damn header leaks! wtd?

Well believe it or not. The best luck I've had is with the stock type gaskes u get for exhaust manifolds. they have the perforated metal on 1 side and paper like material on the other. I put a lite coat of either red or copper rtv on both sides and let it set up about 1/2 hr before installing. I...
