    Dr. Diffs shipping cost.

In my experience Cass (Dr Diff) has always treated me fairly and been very responsive to any issues. I just purchased a green bearing and seal from him and it cost me 10$ shipping. I didn't have a problem with that check what it would cost from say rock auto. They are a BIG company and negotiate...

    MC residual valve?

Ok so I read about half the posts on here but I still haven't found a definitive answer on wether there is a residual valve in the stock 74 disc drum master cylinder. I put rear disks on so now have 4 wheel discs but after bleeding brakes I have quite a bit of drag on the rear. Just wondering...

    front brakes locked up ??

With the Pistons pushed back still won't spin? Please clarify. If so you have a mechanical interference like maybe you put the lower ball joint bolts in backward.

    O' Reallys POS

First why is fluid "leaking" out of the lid gasket. There should be no fluid touching that gasket at rest. Normal fluid level is about 1/2" below the top of the master to alow for expansion.

Disc brake Caliper pins/bolts sizes????? Where to buy???

As the brake pad wears the caliper will move closer and closer to the "head" of that pin. That is why they are long.

    what the heck

Well my "new" master cyl was bad that was the pedal to the floor problem but after replacing it with another "new" one I have good brakes but the lite is still lit. I guess its time to get under there and take a close look at the prop valve to see if it has the "reset" knob.

    what the heck

I had a wheel cyl leak on my 84 D150 so I replaced both wheel cylinders as they looked like originals.Bleed system and get real good pedal feel. Ah another job well done. Next day I get stuck in trafic and the pedal starts to feel mushy but not every time. A couple of days of this and the...

F body brakes and suspension to A body??

Get the spindles, rotors and calipers. U will need some big balljoint upper control armsfrom a 73 or newer a-body or get some ajustable aftermarket uppers (recomended) and you will enjoy much better brakes and get more caster which greatly improves the cars driving feel.

    Left Disc DRAGS...??????

My duster dose the same although I don't think the one side is draging so much as the two calipers are not the same. Stupid me when I got them I thought they would be a matching pair but one has a stainless piston and one has a phonolic piston and I have a feeling that the two have diffrent...

    What Disc Brakes to Use

1 sure way to decrease pedal effort is to put in a M/C with a smaller bore. The down side is more pedal travel. I would keep the brakes u have and try a M/C with a smaller bore and then look thru the catalogs for some decent pads. The big advantage to the GM calipers is there are tons of...
